If you are looking for a Peer Support Group for yourself or a loved one, please contact us at 910-295-1053 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We are planning one beginning Nov. 21st, to continue on the first and third Thursdays of each month at Community Presbyterian Church in Pinehurst. Facilitated by Bill Tracy and Beth Ann Mellinger, (with Ken Holder as backup) this is a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon your daily struggles with others who know and understand!
“Compassion means entering the suffering of another in order to lead the way out. Looking back on my story, the (people) who shared their stories so vulnerably…were leading me to the way out: the knowledge that I could have a future despite this condition. We’re all going to experience painful events in our lives: from losing a loved one, to divorce, to mental illness and addiction. When we’re able to open up and share our stories, we can connect on a deeper level with others and guide each other through life’s struggles.”
—Jennifer Marshall, Co-founder of “This Is My Brave”
